Corporate Advisory
Our firm offers comprehensive legal services to business entities. The individualized approach we take – always guided by an understanding of our Clients’ commercial objectives – is appreciated by companies who entrust us with a wide range of cases, from the straightforward to the highly complex.
Our team supports corporate formation, liquidation, mergers, demergers and transformations, preparing all necessary documentation for filings with the National Court Register, assists in managing corporate bodies, and develops strategies for capital restructuring, including consortiums, holdings, and corporate groups.
As part of our ongoing legal support, we draft and review commercial contracts to ensure legal compliance and optimal protection of our Clients’ interests – especially with regard to securing performance obligations. We conduct negotiations and mediate on behalf of Clients, and represent them in pursuing claims in commercial litigation.
MPiW also represents Clients in arbitration proceedings, which are becoming increasingly common in commercial dispute resolution. The distinctive nature of arbitration – from its less formal procedures to the unique principles applied by arbitrators – requires our lawyers to take a particularly flexible and engaged approach.
Thanks to the diverse specialisations of MPiW’s partners and the breadth of our experience, our legal services are both niche and versatile. We support Clients across corporate matters as well as in their relationships with business partners – always taking into account the unique profile of each Client’s operations.
We understand how sensitive and deeply personal family matters can be – particularly those involving children, parental authority, and visitation rights. We pay special attention to parental authority and the best interests of the child. MPiW actively supports initiatives advocating for fathers’ rights in Poland and collaborates with organizations such as the Centre for Fathers’ and Children’s Rights. Our lawyers also draw on experience gained at institutions like the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.
We assist Clients even in the most complex family law proceedings, offering strategic advisory in pre-divorce planning, handling divorce and alimony cases, and matters concerning division of marital assets.
04.
Dispute Resolution
MPiW provides comprehensive representation in dispute resolution, both before common courts and the Supreme Court, as well as in arbitration proceedings.
Our team develops litigation strategies that reflect our Clients’ business profiles and the unique requirements of their industries. We are known for our flexible approach and dedication to achieving results that align with each Client’s strategic interests.
We also act in alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration. Given its less formal procedural framework, arbitration requires a distinct approach – one marked by adaptability, strategic planning, and active involvement. Our lawyers guide Clients through arbitrator selection, scheduling, and proceedings, and also assist with the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards by state courts.
Our extensive experience enables us to offer litigation support at the highest level, tailored to the individual needs of each Client.
05.
Swiss Franc Loans
MPiW provides full legal support to individuals with mortgage loans indexed to the Swiss franc.
Due to numerous irregularities in the loan agreements offered by banks, many borrowers are entitled to assert their rights and recover undue payments.
Thanks to our deep expertise and client-focused approach, we assist borrowers in successfully annulling their loan contracts or securing court rulings that “de-frank” the loan, thereby significantly reducing their financial obligations.
MPiW proudly maintains a 100% success rate in cases against banks involving Swiss franc loans. Our track record, in-depth knowledge of case law, and precise contractual analysis enable us to effectively assert our Clients’ claims at every stage of the legal process.
06.
Real Estate Law
MPiW offers legal support to both individual and corporate Clients across the full spectrum of real estate transactions.
Having years of experience working with state-owned enterprises, we offer comprehensive legal due diligence services, risk mapping for acquired or planned assets, and legal advisory at the negotiation and contract formation stages.
We assist Clients with negotiating construction contracts, provide ongoing legal support during project execution, and liaise with building authorities and other administrative bodies involved in the investment process.
In the residential and commercial development sectors, we also review and negotiate development agreements, reservation agreements, and preliminary sales contracts. Additionally, we represent Clients in pursuing claims related to warranty and guarantee rights.
Apart our legal advisory services, we facilitate our Clients’ access to highly specialised professionals, including property valuers, surveyors, and notaries.
07.
Intellectual Property / IT
Innovation and advanced technologies are now the backbone of economic development and the driving force behind dynamic business growth. At MPiW, we provide services to entities for whom the protection of intellectual capital is central to business strategy.
Intellectual property and related copyright law have long been fundamental pillars of our practice. We advise on, draft and negotiate licensing agreements, copyright transfer agreements, supervisory contracts, and distribution agreements. We support our Clients both at the implementation stage and throughout the life of their projects, as well as in pursuing claims for infringement of IP or authors’ rights.
Our lawyers’ ability to combine legal expertise with an innovative, adaptive approach is highly valued by Clients navigating the fast-evolving tech landscape. MPiW has also partnered with Wiggin LLP – a UK-based law firm with offices in London and Brussels – known for advising leading global corporations in the tech, media, IT, and e-commerce sectors.
Our IP/IT portfolio includes longstanding support to entities in the advertising and media sectors – producers, publishers, broadcasters, cultural event organisers, and public cultural institutions. Among them is the National Gallery of Art “Zachęta”, for whom we have proudly served as legal partner for many years.

Telecommunications Law
MPiW offers legal advisory services to entities operating in the telecommunications sector, including providers of telecommunications services, network operators, and providers of associated services.
Our team has long-standing experience in this field – both on the regulatory side and in advising private operators.
We provide adapted legal support that takes into account each Client’s business objectives and operational specifics. This includes regulatory advisory, risk analysis, and representation before the President of the Office of Electronic Communications. MPiW offers comprehensive assistance with drafting, reviewing and negotiating service agreements, terms and conditions, and pricing schedules. We also support Clients in construction projects and network operation processes, where telecommunications law frequently intersects with real estate law – another core area of our expertise.

Energy, Geological and Mining Law
Energy law is one of the key areas of MPiW’s legal practice.
Our expertise in this field is strongly supported by the extensive experience of our partner, legal advisor Piotr Malinowski, who has acted as counsel to leading Polish and international energy sector companies. His experience has significantly contributed to the growth of our team’s capabilities in this area.
We support our Clients in achieving their business goals by advising on investment agreements and infrastructure projects, assisting with transactions, interpreting and applying energy regulations, and navigating privatization processes and ownership transformations of energy companies. Our representation also extends to public procurement procedures and proceedings before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office and the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.
We also successfully advise Clients from the extractive industry, representing them in administrative proceedings aimed at securing concessions and other permits under geological and mining law. In delivering reliable legal assistance, we cooperate closely with geologists, mining experts, and appraisers – always mindful of the specific regulatory landscape in which our Clients operate.
10.
Gambling Law
The gambling sector and its legal framework in Poland have long been a focus of MPiW’s practice.
We have advised Clients under both the former Act on Gambling and Mutual Betting and the current Gambling Act, in force since 1 January 2010.
MPiW lawyers have been actively involved in shaping the legal landscape of the gaming industry. Legal advisor Piotr Płachta has frequently spoken as an expert on amendments to gambling legislation. Our engagement in this area reflects not only our practical experience but also our participation in legislative processes – including reviewing draft bills and contributing to parliamentary committee work.
Our legal opinions in this field offer comprehensive analysis of national regulations, including their fiscal-criminal aspects and their impact on both the offline and online gambling markets in Poland. Given the significant role of EU law in this sector, our work also includes analysis of primary and secondary EU law, as well as relevant rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union. We have experience in proceedings before EU institutions, including the European Commission.
